Good place for the money, we do BOGO Free Shrimp Baskets on Wednesdays, definitely worth the money, my wife LOVES the Cole Slaw, she always gets mine for her fries. Not classy upscale but we don't have that in Apollo Beach, good for what it is. We also get the Fried Green Beans appetizer, wife LOVES that also. Not bad for $20 - 25 dinner for two, have never waited more than 5 minutes for a table, Wait staff is all very friendly girls, know a couple by name, Sweet young ladies. Also love the scoop yourself peanuts you get as you go in the door!! Manager/Owner always speaks to us as he recognizes us as regulars, Good Guy!!!

Toooo expensive. First time there ordered the buy one get one free fish and chips $17+. Food was OK but not worth the money. Buffalo shrimp taste like fried shrimp dipped in not so very hot-- hot sauce.

Food was just okay and the price a little high. I think the fish house is better if you're gonna spend the money (they high too).

Lesson one, when in Rome do as the Romans do. In respect to Kaz's, when most of the menu is fried fish, eat fried fish. Appropriately named this dive has been singing our come hither song for some time as every time we passed it the parking lot was full. We've been to a lot of Florida beach seafood dives but this one, let's just say its not my fav. We were seated right away and our server was very good. She had no sense of the difference between fresh and frozen but hey, she's young. I had the scallops broiled. I know these should be pan seared but that was not one of the choices and they were small. I got 2 sides and hush puppies. What came out was a plate of little white erasers, steak fries and overcooked broccoli. On the the other hand wife's fish and chips was quite respectful. The moral of this story is do what they do, next time it's fish and chips for me too.

Not bad for fast food but not super fresh. You order an appetizer for the table and they don't provide or offer side plates unless you ask. Condiments on tables under stocked and some tables have different items than others. Flyers promoting specials only on about 1/4 of the tables . Decent outside seating area but close to main road. Interior very low end atmosphere but after all it is basically fast food and not fine dining. Good definitely mediocre. Been there ate there and won't be back.

Def a fried restaraunt! Food was good but stick with the fried items.. Had calamari appetizer and weren't impressed with the quality or freshness and it was $10.95 which is overpriced in my book. For dinner my hubby and I both ordered the fish and chips. Were pleased with fish, very flaky, light batter and wasn't greasy. The coleslaw was prob our fave thing. Very fresh and had a great flavor! Overall place is over priced and my negative comment would have to be that the owner (or so he appeared) was putting a corona light sign up over the drink station and did not close lid to the ice bin I let our server know of this and she seemed completely unconcerned about it. He was hammering the wall and wiping it down and I am sure stuff fell in the ice being served to customers. Staff was friendly and might try it again but only for the coleslaw!

Not worth the $32 and $5 tip, paid and left, respectively....hush puppies way under cooked....crab patties are a joke - even fried you don't want to overpower the taste of the crab...the one star comes from the friendly staff...bar rescue or something please!!

First and foremost, this is a FRIED seafood restaurant. They do offer other items, but fried is their specialty. Everything is frozen. When we asked the waitress if the fish was fresh she said" oh yes, it's very fresh. They flash freeze it right on the boat then ship it here". HUH? Ok, our idea of fresh is not the same. I ordered the fish & chips. Being from New England I love this, but it's so hard to find it like I like in Florida. I was pleasantly surprised. I had 4 or 5 pieces of fried cod, steak fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. My fish was flaky and cooked perfectly. The batter light. Cole slaw needed work. Hush puppies had a nice little zip to its flavor. For fried food it was not greasy at all. There's nothing special about the ambiance of this place. Fine for a quick meal. Could use better cleaning. Table felt sticky, salt & pepper shakers dirty & greasy. Yuck! Waitress was great, no problems with the service. Kaz's was actually a pleasant surprise. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I didn't expect much. Instead I got a pretty decent fish and chips!!

We've been underwhelmed by the food and turned off by the atmosphere. There are not many good options for food in Apollo Beach, so we've tried to like it on a few visits. When it was first opened the crowds were massive, but now there appears to be no problem getting in. We tried a return visit for lunch and ordered the shrimp po-boy. The shrimp was good, but it was covered by too many big chunks of tasteless green tomatoes. The po-boy bread was tasty but undercooked. The accompanying cole slaw was over sweetened and barely tasted like cabbage. The inside is dumpy perhaps trying to live up to the dive name. We sat outside which turned out to be very irritating. They had a local radio station turned up so loud it was hard to hear the server. The incessant commercials were even louder than the music and beyond irritating.

Not a fan at all. The cracker's for the clam chowder were stale. The French fries were dry and powdery, not fresh. Clam Chowder was mediocre at best. Had fish and chips and they were not very flavorful. Cole slaw was bland. I'm not sure how you stay in business and not have anything to write home about. And then the prices are to high for the quality If good they serve. If I were you I would drive by and try somewhere else.

Always good and quick service. Once you go you feel like a part of a family establishment. Good going crew.

Poor attempt at a real seafood dive. I had high hopes for this place. Kaz's Seafood Dive occupies the former Mama Iguanas and Cherry's before that. It's not a bad location, rather bad concepts that have filled the walls of the restaurant. The decor is decent, but the bathrooms are a bit rundown and the toilets leak everywhere. Weird since they just opened. You would figure they would make sure everything was fixed prior to the grand opening. The waitstaff was friendly enough but not knowledgable about the menu or what side items come with certain entrees. Perhaps this was due to opening day issues. The food was poor. Frozen seafood and fries everywhere. Fried food galore. I ordered coconut shrimp for $9 and it didn't even come with a dipping sauce. The side dishes are bland and not very enticing. Cole slaw, red beans and rice. The usual sides are underwhelming. The most disappointing part of the food was the "bread rolls" that their sandwiches consist of. I ordered a fish sandwich and expected a nice meal for $11. When the sandwich came out I found that the roll was made out of Howie Breadsticks. You heard right. Pizza breadsticks. Apparently the owner Kaz also owns a Hungry Howies franchise or two and is using Howie Bread for rolls for his sandwiches. This is hugely disappointing. The fish was ok, but the rolls were crap. My buddy's crab cake sandwich was mostly filler and bland. Mom's seafood pasta was gummy and came out warm. All in all. Four of us for dinner had a jalapeño appetizer, coconut shrimp, a fish sandwich, crab cake sandwich, and scallop pasta Alfredo. 4 beers and a sweet tea. Grand total $70 for lunch. Wow. I can't believe I spent that much on such disappointing food.

We called in and ordered the fried seafood sampler with fries and the fried jalapenos to go. The food was okay, nothing great. The fries were kinda soggy and the clam strips rubbery. You could tell it wasn't super fresh but it still tasted good. I think it was overpriced for the low quality. The ranch dressing tasted great though. We'll probably give it another try.

Good service. The food was just OK. Good enough for a quick seafood fix. No oysters???

The shrimp were overlooked. The fish and chips was awful. Never thought that fish could be spongy. Hush puppies were bland and doughy. Save your money
